AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (ACSAA) is one of the most renowned certifications in the market. This certification focuses on the design of cost- and performance-optimized solutions, and earning this certification demonstrates a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
The AWS Academy Cloud Architecting course prepares you for this exam. It covers the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The course is designed to teach trainees how to optimize their use of the AWS Cloud by understanding AWS services and how they fit into cloud-based solutions. Though architectural solutions can differ depending on the industry, type of application, and size of the business, this course emphasizes best practices for the AWS Cloud that apply to all solutions.
It also recommends various design patterns to help learners think through the process of architecting optimal IT solutions on AWS. Throughout the course, learners will explore a scenario that provides opportunities to build a variety of infrastructures through a hands-on approach.
The concepts in this course align to the knowledge and skills described in the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) certification exam guide. This certification focuses on the design of cost- and performance-optimized solutions, and earning this certification demonstrates a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
This intermediate (level 200) course is intended for IT professionals and learners who seek expertise in architecting optimal IT cloud solutions on AWS. This course is most aligned to a Cloud Architect role but would also be appropriate for a Systems Operations (SysOps), solutions architect, or Development Operations (DevOps) role
To ensure success in this course, trainees should have the following:
- AWS Academy Cloud Foundations or have equivalent experience
- A working knowledge of distributed systems
- A working knowledge of multi-tier architectures
- Familiarity with general networking concepts
This course prepares IT professionals and learners to do the following:
- Apply AWS architectural principles and best practices to make architectural decisions.
- Use appropriate AWS services and features to make infrastructure scalable, reliable, and highly available.
- Choose AWS managed services to enable greater flexibility and resiliency in an infrastructure.
- Increase performance and reduce cost of a cloud infrastructure built on AWS.
- Use AWS services to secure user, application, and data access.
- Apply best practices from the AWS Well-Architected Framework to improve architectures that use AWS solutions.
